The Free Orchestra of Rhythmic Cacophony and Euphony (The F.O.R.C.E.)
The F.O.R.C.E. is a diverse and unique marching ensemble in New Orleans that was formed to march in the Carnival parade Chewbacchus, playing Star Wars themes superimposed on Arabic, Turkish/Greek, and North African rhythms. We also play medieval music (in parades; we have a smaller chamber group, Spiritus Mundi Crescentis, for concerts), Mexican ranchera songs for Dia De Los Muertos, and German Renaissance carols for Krampus. In the Joan of Arc parade, we perform as the St. Michael's Angel Army Marching Choir.
